14 October 2013: Monday, Columbus Day, more YouTube videos w/Dad, hot chocolate w/whipped cream, Tapioca w/whipped cream, Dad & Mom relaxin' on bed ...

Mom and Dad relaxin' and chllin' on the bed watchin' silent movies, one being The Scarlet Letter with Lillian Gish on TCM on this early afternoon of Columbus Day. (need to figure how to rotate this photo)

They were watching the silent film starring Lillian Gish in the classic novel A Scarlet Letter, extraordinary film. Both enjoyed helpings of tapioca pudding while watching silent movies on TCM. They really do have an inseparable bond even though they got on each other's nerves, interminably. Mom is always asking, as though I have a mini-monitor on him at all times, what your father is doing. "Is he sleeping?", "Where is he now?", "Did he eat anything?", or "How is he feeling?" -- some I can answer, most are unanswerable. Oh, and , "Is you dad up?" as I serve her her breakfast and pills. "The light's out mom, I do not know." And most times, I do not. Still love her to death, figuratively speaking of course.

Lois & Carl Greeff came to visit this Columbus Day afternoon, a beautiful day in mid-October. They brought with them their first art purchase and wanted to show it to veteran art enthusiasts.

Fantastic couple who came to visit their longtime friends. Lois, a longtime volunteer, has had a building addition named after her and her husband Carl, who turns 93 (11/19/1920) a day after I turn a whopping 57. Such a joy, such a gesture of love for my parents.
